Young children thrive when their days feel predictable, balanced, and engaging. At Palisades Christian Learning Center, our daily schedule is thoughtfully designed to create a rhythm that supports learning, play, rest, and spiritual growth, all while helping children feel safe and confident.
Each day begins with warm welcomes as children arrive and settle into their classrooms. Morning activities invite exploration, creativity, and connection with friends. Circle time brings the group together for songs, stories, prayer, and meaningful conversations that build language skills and social-emotional awareness.
Throughout the day, children engage in hands-on learning experiences that support early literacy, math, science, movement, and creative expression. Play is not an “extra” at PCLC, it is a vital part of how children learn, problem-solve, and grow. Teachers intentionally guide play to help children develop independence, curiosity, and cooperation.
Healthy routines are also an important part of our day. Children enjoy time for meals and snacks, outdoor play when weather permits, and a daily rest period to recharge their bodies and minds. These moments help children learn self-care, responsibility, and respect for themselves and others.
Spiritual growth is gently integrated throughout the day. Whether it’s expressing gratitude, showing kindness to a friend, or learning about God’s love, children experience faith in ways that are age-appropriate and meaningful.
By the end of the day, children leave PCLC having learned, laughed, played, and grown, ready to return the next day with confidence and joy.
